Dr. Amir Ghanipour is a board certified optometrist in Georgia with extensive experience in Optometry. Dr. Amir Ghanipour joined Gazal Eyecare in 2021 after completing a clinical residency with Georgia Eye Partners, bringing with him a desire to serve the community, share his expertise, and take eye care to a whole new level in Roswell GA. His primary focuses include ocular and infectious disease, glaucoma, cataracts, and pre- and-post operative care. Amir specializes in Dry Eye Treatment, Orhto-K, and Specialty Contact Lens Fittings.

Dr. Amir has a passion for physics, optics, and engineering and fueled his passion by starting his career in eyecare by studying engineering overseas. He began working in an optical lab manufacturing spectacles in the Northwest. Soon after, he pursued an opticianry degree in Seattle and became a Licensed Dispensing Optician in the state of Washington. Within a few years of working as a licensed optician, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in vision science and Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry.

Dr. Amir’s has a passion not just for eye care but for people, and this shows with his attentiveness to patients and also his community outreach. Each year Amir devotes his time on international eye care mission trips to places such as the Saint Lucia, Guatemala, Senegal, Jamaica, and more.

Outside of work, you can find Amir playing tennis, taking a ballroom dance class, or in pursuit of his next cup of coffee. He enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and exploring new cultures.
